A breathless sprint of a book that leaves your head spinning. High speed, sudden twists, and zero warning before it ends—leaving you standing in the dust, asking, "What the hell just happened?"

24 Hours to Forget by Filipe Silva
Thank you, Filipe and InsideStory, for allowing me to read this.
This was a short, fast-paced story that pulled me in almost immediately. At first, partly because it reminded me so much of another book I read years ago, and I was dying to see where this one was going.
Well… it went places.
Things took some pretty unexpected turns very quickly, and I was intrigued. But just when I felt like I was getting close to figuring things out, the weirdness started getting to me—and I’m still trying to decide whether that belongs in my I like it box or my what the hell did I just read? box.
At one point, I genuinely wondered if my own brain was playing tricks on me or if I was simply reading too fast to comprehend what was happening. Maybe that was the point. If so, mission accomplished.
I felt like I was being left in the dark before I even had the chance to get my head around everything. Intentional, I’m sure, but it definitely left me unsettled. I’ve probably come up with about 20 different explanations in my head by now… and somehow, I still don’t have an answer.
And no, I’m not giving you spoilers. I never do.
So, 3.5 unsettling stars from me. I’m someone who needs at least some closure, and this one definitely tested that part of my personality.
But if you’re looking for something short, fast-paced, strange, and guaranteed to make you question your own sanity for a little while, this might be one to squeeze in.
Just don’t blame me if you finish it and immediately start questioning everything.
