As her husband’s illness begins to fade miraculously, Marian’s health begins to decline mysteriously.
A chill settles into her bones. Each day leaves her weaker, as though the house itself is drawing the very life from her. The longer she remains within its walls, the more undeniable the truth becomes: the mansion is not the safe haven she thought. It was built to give, and to take. And unless Marian uncovers its secret, the cost of their newfound wealth will be her life.

What did I just read?! Another hit by Jed Kent. You buy a house but you are always cold, your husband was sick but the house heals him. He can not be gone from the house for more than a couple days or else he becomes sick again. Now you feel as if the house is not just a house.

What a great haunted house! I would say this was short and sweet, but it's far from sweet! There is so much story packed in so few words. I got lost in this one! It will have you looking over your shoulder and jumping at every noise.
