In the waning years of the Gilded Age, Marian steps into a mansion built on excess. With its towering marble halls, glittering chandeliers, and a fortune meant to announce arrival into high society. Instead, the house greets her with a bitter cold.

As her husband’s illness begins to fade miraculously, Marian’s health begins to decline mysteriously.
A chill settles into her bones. Each day leaves her weaker, as though the house itself is drawing the very life from her. The longer she remains within its walls, the more undeniable the truth becomes: the mansion is not the safe haven she thought. It was built to give, and to take. And unless Marian uncovers its secret, the cost of their newfound wealth will be her life.
