Talk about a change in pace. This isn’t my usual genre. This was my first time reading and finding out about Jerold Last. As a person who loves mysteries and history this story was truly packed with it. I enjoyed Last’s descriptions allowing us readers the opportunity to visual the sites and meals mentioned within the story. I love how he included the many facts on South America, it brought the story to life just a little bit more. The characters were likeable, the plot entertaining. Overall this was a good read and since it’s part of a series I will be checking out the rest.

I really enjoyed Roger and Suzanne’s story as a couple and how they work together to solve the mystery. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review it’s because I felt like too much information about South America was thrown at me and I was getting confused and overwhelmed. But overall it was a good story not too long and I would like to read more so I can keep up with their love story as well.
