The Night Before Her Wedding

Six years ago, my best friend Lucy died the night before her wedding to Ryan. Now I’m going to marry him.
I know how it looks. I know what people whisper behind our backs. But Ryan and I found each other in the wreckage of that night. Grief does things like that.
Then the letter arrives. No stamp. No address. Just my name on a plain brown envelope.
You need to know something about the man you’re about to marry . . . before it’s too late.
I’m sure that can’t be true. Ryan is a good man. Decent, loyal, kind. I trust him and I love him.
But Lucy had a letter too, in the weeks before her wedding.
And Lucy never made it to the altar.
AN EXHILARATING PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSE WITH TWISTS THAT WILL MAKE YOU GASP.
Perfect for fans of Alice Feeney, Sue Watson, John Marrs, Jane E. James, Shalini Boland and Valerie Keogh.

I loved the premise of this book, loved picturing the town , loved the way the parents were written, loved its potential. So, I was a disappointed when I figured out the ending pretty early on. I also felt that it could have been a few chapters shorter.

To me this read more like a cozy mystery than a full fledged thriller, was this because I figured it out ahead of time? and was just waiting for the story to unfold, maybe… give it a try and let me know what your thoughts were.

WOW!! This story had me hooked! I absolutely loved the protagonist and truly felt like I was with her, felt the tension between her and all the players in this twisted story. I did have an inkling about who was behind the madness, but I was missing so much! I think the book does a phenomenal job showing that love can make people do the craziest things...
I highly recommend this book!

This book intrigued me from the moment I read the story summary. This story had plenty of twists, turns and red herrings.

The story was fast paced and continued to keep my interest.  This book had plenty of flawed characters and lots of drama.  I was able to guess some of the ending, but the final twist was definitely unexpected.  If you like thrillers, I would absolutely recommend this one.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

This is the second book I’ve read by Jessica Huntley, and she did not disappoint! Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the twist hit, and WOW! I definitely didn’t see that coming. I love when an author can keep me guessing until the very end. I’m looking forward to reading more from her!

Hannah is engaged to Ryan. He used to be engaged to her best friend, Lucy, who passed away the night before her wedding.

Now, someone is trying to come between Ryan and Hannah.

I was drawn into this book from the first chapter.

I have read and enjoyed quite a few of Jessica Huntley's books, and really enjoyed this one. Fast paced and bingeable!

I worked out the suspect long before the reveal, but it didn't detract from my thorough enjoyment of the book.

However, it did turn dark pretty quickly. I think even Hannah was flabbergasted at who was behind the many incidents that took place.

I don't want to give away the story - I am sure you will either work it out for yourself, or be gobsmacked at the reveal.

I do have a question though. WHO was behind the accident with the Limo? Was it a genuine accident?

A 4.5 star rating from me - it would have been 5 stars if the above question was answered!!!

Thanks to Inside Story and Joffe Books for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

So thankful to Inside Story and the author for an ARC of this book! Y’all, I could NOT put this one down, and finished it within 24 hours (and I’m a slow reader). Even though some of her choices were questionable, I loved the MC Hanna. She was relatable and real. While I did guess the culprit really early on (the only reason for a half star deduction), it was because of my own “spidey senses” and it took nothing away from the story. I still needed to know why, and BOY was the why a shocker!

Mysterious letters, infidelities, and possible murder cover-ups! Could you ask for more?

As Ryan and Hanna’s wedding draws closer, things are anything but sunshine and roses. In the days leading up to the big day, all hell breaks loose, secrets begin to surface, and the drama just keeps coming! Jessica Huntley had me glued to every page, eager to see how it would all unfold. Just when you think things can’t get any crazier, there’s another twist waiting around the corner!

Ms. Huntley has once again delivered a suspenseful read that kept me turning the pages. Weddings are supposed to be about happily ever after, but this one comes with a whole lot of secrets and drama!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Night Before Her Wedding by Jessica Huntley is a deeply unsettling, intense, and gripping pre-wedding thriller about secret sabotage, broken trust, and shocking motives.

In true Jessica Huntley fashion, this book was absolutely amazing! I don't know what it is about her writing style, but every single one of her books grabs my attention instantly—I was completely immersed right from page one.

The story is an emotionally charged, high-stakes ride as we race to figure out who is desperately trying to sabotage Hannah's wedding. There is so much happening with constant twists and turns, making it a total emotional rollercoaster.

Thanks to reading hundreds of thrillers, my honed gut instinct actually picked out the culprit early on even though nothing directly pointed to them, but the reveal of their actual motive caught me completely by surprise!

A tense, panic-inducing reminder of how hard it can be to truly trust the people closest to us. Absolutely 5 tension-filled panic stars! 👰‍♀️💍🔥🕵️‍♀️

People might wonder how someone can read mostly mysteries and thrillers, because there can on,y be so many plots and so many twists before books start to sound alike, right? WRONG! The Night Before Her Wedding by Jessica Huntley is Exhibit A in making the case that fresh ideas, bundled with good writing and a fast-moving pace are still out there. This was one of those “can’t put down” books with just the right amount of misdirection. I will definitely be seeking out more of Jessica’s books based on this! 4.5/5
