An excellent and exciting book 2 in the Shadow Of Justice detective thriller series. I was looking forward to reading the follow-up from book one, The Rise And Fall, and I was not disappointed in this gripping and supernatural story.
NYPD detective Josh Watson is back from Colombia, working on a case to bring down a drug cartel and close down their operations.
As he now tries to move on with his life, his thoughts are taken up by Jacqui the woman he left behind and feels a connection with her.
As Josh's relationship with Jacqui develops, he faces significant danger due to a revenge plot, while the drug syndicate he believed he had dismantled falls under the control of a new drug lord.
Now that not only is his life under threat, but the life of the one he loves most is also in danger, Josh teams up with the ghost of Bobby, his former partner and best friend, his NYPD colleagues, and the crack COPES team to track down and uncover the criminals in a race to end the threats.
I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing suspense thriller, a fast-paced and compelling novel.
