Embracing Jenna
Police and Fire: Operation Alpha - Texas Heroes: Station 9
Leyna CohanLove is within reach. Danger is even closer.
Jenna knows fear. She grew up with more than her share of it, but she’s done letting it control her life. Now a fully functioning, only slightly paranoid adult, she’s determined to claim her happiness. With Liam, she’s finally brave enough to reach for it.
But just as Jenna starts to believe she can build a life with Liam, a string of ominous encounters casts a shadow over their happily ever after. Each unsettling moment deepens her unease—and steels her resolve. It’s just old fears resurfacing, she tells herself. Fear won’t steal her future. She’s stronger now.
Jenna’s trust and happiness mean everything to Liam—just as much as keeping her safe. A firefighter with a soldier’s instincts, he’s trained to confront danger head-on. But desperate to protect her hard-won peace, he underestimates a serious threat, a mistake they’ll both carry forever.
As an old enemy resurfaces and new dangers close in, Liam is forced into a brutal balancing act: protect her too fiercely and risk breaking the woman he loves, or hesitate again and risk losing her for good.
With everything on the line, Jenna discovers that real strength doesn’t come from denying fear—it comes from trusting herself to face it…before it’s too late.

Embracing Jenna delivers the kind of emotional suspense that keeps you tense for all the right reasons. Jenna had a rough past and watching Jenna’s fight to reclaim her life is gripping, and what makes it land is the people around her — her found family who show up without hesitation, and Liam, whose love is fierce even when it crosses into overbearing. Like give my girl some space my man, lol.
Liam’s a firefighter and former soldier, so his instinct to protect makes sense… but there are moments where it feels smothering, and that tension adds a real, human messiness to their relationship. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest — and watching Jenna push for her own strength while still letting herself be loved is incredibly satisfying.
This story is emotional, intense, and absolutely driven by the people who refuse to let Jenna face her past alone.
This book is book two in a series but is totally a stand alone.
