This is the best redemption story that I've read in a long time. Talk about tough love! You know what they say, sometimes you just have to hit rock bottom!

This was jaw dropping, emotional, raw, and a meaningful lesson that our actions have consequences. You met Abigail who has died from d.o. or is that a metaphor?! You never realize what you have until you take it for granted and for those lucky enough to have the means and the family to help us, you realize that love is more powerful at the end.

A short story that's part of "In The Cards" is a 22 standalone collection of thriller stories by 22 amazing authors.
What an incredible and touching story this one is, I was instantly addicted to it. Once I started reading it, I had to finish. It is that good.
This is a gripping thriller of choices, and making the wrong one means there are consequences.
This time, it was different, somethings not right, Abby didn't want to die, but she knew this was it. Her time had come, and then everything went black.
When Abby wakes up, she finds herself in an institution that's nothing like the rehabs she has been in, she soon learns there are tests, she has to make choices, and making the wrong one carries consequences, some severe and painful ones for herself or any one of the othe 19 in the facility.
It's up to Abby if she wants to survive and to set herself free from her addiction and restart her life out in the world, but can she make those right choices?
Melissa's amazing attention to detail in her writing of thrillers and horrors, her authentic characters, captivate me, hooking me into the gripping suspense of her stories.
Her books come with my highest recommendation, but beware some come with triggers.

This book was absolutely wild. Such an amazing read. This short story takes you down a path you didn’t know you needed to travel. Tells you about a hard truth you didn’t know some have to deal with and what it takes to get to the end, or if you even make it. This was a fast paced read that I didn’t want to stop until it was over!!
