Nasty
Part One
Dead parents. A dying little sister. A cursed bloodline. A city that trusts vampires, demons, and monsters more than it trusts witches.
In modern New York, the supernatural world is no secret, but witches like Evangeline are still treated like loaded weapons. When her sister’s mysterious curse worsens and every doctor, healer, and coven turns them away, Evangeline does the one thing every witch is warned never to do.
She summons something forbidden.
Belzareth is not the minor spirit she meant to call.
He is an incubus prince. A demon with a name carved out of sin, a smile made for ruin, and a reputation that makes even monsters lower their eyes. He offers Evangeline a bargain: seven favors in exchange for her sister’s life.
Desperate, she signs.
But the contract is only the beginning.
Each favor drags Evangeline deeper into New York’s glittering supernatural underworld, where angelic councils lie, witches sell bloodlines, demons trade in desire, and her family’s secrets are worth killing for. Belzareth claims he only wants her magic, but the more danger finds her, the harder his control begins to fracture.
He is cruel to everyone else.
Possessive with her.
And when a demon who feeds on desire decides one witch belongs to him, the contract becomes the least dangerous thing between them.
Because Evangeline asked him to save her sister.
She never asked him to claim her too.

OMG the banter in this book was absolutely top tier and the cliffhanger………hell, that just left me buffering for days!
I loved that this story has a different twist on supernatural/human society that places witches at the bottom of the hierarchy yet humanises their experience due to restrictions placed on them in society for being witches. The first part of this story feels more like starting at a breaking point, with not much history or backstory to contextualise the full struggle of the FMC, but that does not detract from storyline in fact it adds to the mystery and urges you to keep reading.
The FMC, Evie, is so relatable on so many levels that you can’t help feeling every emotion with her and when the MMC, Belzareth, enters the story that just ratchets up the angst even more, especially when it’s packaged in the form of a smoking home demon prince.
This story is definitely multi-layered and I can’t wait to read the next part, it’s like watching your favourite show and waiting for the next reveal in season 2.

I loved this book! Evie and Bez are so funny. The banter had me laughing so much. Then you add Maeve and her snark and the smile was A permanent fixture on my face. I got to the end of the last chapter and my stomach dropped... no it can't end here, I need more! I will definitely continue this series. I love the characters and the writing. I'm invested in the outcome!

I absolutely loved Nasty Part One by Serena Knights.
I was hooked from the very first lines. Serena has a way with words that speaks directly to my heart.
I had the chance to read it chapter by chapter on Ream, and I absolutely loved the experience. It was so much fun waiting for each new chapter, then reading everyone's comments and sharing my own opinions and theories with other readers.
Nasty follows Evie and her sister, Maeve, who comefrom a cursed line of witches. Evie can't seem to catch a break … she's broke, unemployed, and on the verge of losing custody of her sick younger sister.
But where's the "nasty," you ask? It's coming...
Out of desperation and love, Evie tries to summon a lesser spirit … but things don't exactly go as planned. Instead, she summons Bez, a demon who offers to grant her deepest desires... in exchange for a few favors. Like pretending to be her boyfriend.
Yeah... I know. You want to read it now.
What I loved most was the incredible character growth and the relationships that developed throughout the story. Evie won me over immediately, even if there were moments when I wanted to shake her because of her denial and questionable decisions.
And Bez... BEZ!! Oh. My. God. He's a demon with the energy of an adorable kitten, unless someone threatens Evie. Then he turns into a ruthless hellhound without a shred of mercy. I love him so much.
Amazing banter? check
Delicious tension? check
Plot twists? check
Heartbreak? check
Found family? check
A demon you'll accidentally fall in love with? Triple check
Every single chapter ended the same way:
"Wait... THAT'S IT?!"
I didn't just want the next chapter…. I needed it!
Now excuse me while I impatiently count the days until Part Two, because Serena... you can't leave me like this.

I really enjoy Knights style and creative take on a supernatural society.
The banter between Maeve and Evie felt incredibly genuine as an older sister too!
I also adore the mentality Evie has and how she Carrie’s herself.
The dialogue and banter throughout really made the piece.
A refreshing supernatural read for sure.

I was intrigued by the blurb of this story, and it did not disappoint. Evie is a great big sister doing her best with what she has. She suffers so much just because she is a witch and due to her bloodline name, Crowe. She struggles deeply and it broke my heart, but she is so strong and brave. I would have done the same as her if I were in her place. Belzareth is quite a character too. He sounds so ominous and powerful. I thought he was very entertaining and attractive. Maeve is a sweet character too and I adore her and her relationship with Evie and Bez. The banter is top notch in this story, and I love that it has plot even with erotic touches. The plot is unique where it is a trade of favors instead of her soul. The atmosphere feels intense with Bez from the start, he was fascinated with Evie before even actually meeting her. There are things we learn about him that I was stunned by and wow. The things he knows, and his experiences made me take notice of his smugness and aloofness. I really enjoy that even with him being an all-powerful incubus this is not just about sex to feed and be done. There is more to it and his power is incredible. I love how he projects himself around others and defends what is his. The spicy scenes were really well written, and they feel real even with the magic aspect. It feels possible, I guess would be more accurate. So much is happening in this book and yet so simple. I like the world building behind the scenes even though it is not in depth. I cannot wait to see what else happens next. I will be patiently waiting for Nastier to be available. I cannot wait. I appreciate the opportunity to have early access to this story. Hope you enjoy bargains and contracts and plenty of banter and mysterious, and unpredictable magics and curses.

This was absolutely amazing and one of the biggest surprises of the year for me.
I started this book with pretty average expectations. I thought it would be an enjoyable read, but nothing that would completely suck me in.
I was wrong.
It was SO good. I need the next book ASAP, and I honestly don't know if I'm ready to read anything else after this.
This story was genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. I loved the banter between the main characters. I loved their chemistry.
And I LOVE Bez. Seriously, I need him at home.
Amazing book, amazing story, incredibly addictive.
I. AM. IN. LOVE.

I think the plot line is good, and I really wanted to love the story but it was disjointed and had some plot holes that were hard to get past. I did get confused in places with who was saying what but the story still made sense. I would suggest that the author hire a line editor to help with inconsistencies.

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to continue the story.
I love the banter between Belzareth and Evangeline. I love the chemistry between them. I simply like how Belzareth is with Evangeline.
The plot is good, twisty and intense. Very enjoyable and I can’t wait to continue onto the next part.

Nasty by Serena Knights was a quick, addictive paranormal romance that pulled me in from the beginning! The FMC Evangeline was fierce, sarcastic, and determined to protect the people she loves, while the MMC Bez is the perfect combination of dangerous, possessive, and intriguing. Their chemistry and banter kept me entertained, and I loved the mix of demons, witches, mystery, romance, and spice. While the story moved at a great pace, there was enough mystery and tension to keep me turning the pages. I will admit, that the cliffhanger left me excited to read the next part of Serena Knights series. I have so many questions and want to see where this story goes next!

Evangeline is funny as hell 😂! Her inner monologue actually reminded me a lot of Sadie from Psycho Shifters by Jasmine Mas. Although I loved her humor, her thoughts could get a little chaotic at times 😂.
But boy, was this book ADDICTIVE! Once I started, I just kept going.
And it’s not only Evangeline bringing the comedy because Belzareth had me laughing too 😂.
If you’re going to summon a demon to fix your problems, there are definitely worse choices than an incubus 😏.
What surprised me was how much emotion was packed underneath all that humor. Evangeline is carrying an insane amount of responsibility, especially when it comes to her sister, and seeing everything she’s dealing with gave the story so much more depth.
Now we’ve got seven wishes, seven favors, a bargain with a demon and a whole lot of unanswered questions…
Count me IN for book 2! 😈

I received a free copy of Nasty in exchange for an honest review and OMG… I freaking loved this book!
The banter had me laughing so much. Evi and Benz’s back and forth was absolutely hysterical and honestly one of my favourite things about the book. Their relationship just kept getting better and better, and I loved watching it develop.
The characters had so much personality and depth. I loved how different they all were and how much character they each had. Evi and Benz especially felt like more than just characters in a romance. They actually felt like real people with their own personalities, flaws and quirks.
The story completely kept me gripped. I didn’t want to put it down and I was so invested in what was happening that when I reached the end I nearly cried!
And now I’m left with one massive problem…
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! 😂
Serena Knights has definitely gained a new reader because I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait for more!

Absolutely loved this book! I don't think I have laughed so hard while reading in my life. I loved Bez and Evie's relationship...their banter..everything! Some things were surprising to here about Bez but it made the story so much better. Evie takes care of her sick cursed sister and luck is not on her side until Bez shows up. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next part of this book because it ended on a cliffhanger and I need to know what happens to Bez and Evie and her sister!
I recieved an advance reader copy of this book for an honest voluntary review.

This book had its grip on me right out of the gate. Incredible banter between the characters that makes you laugh and smile. The MMC is great, both scary and soft for the FMC. Some of the speech gets a bit confusing between characters because all of the characters talk the same and it can get a little repetitive and confusing but the banter is still exceptional and moving to the last page made me audibly gasp because I want more. The spice is great but not the entire plot of the book, which is great.
Wonderful, quick read. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Such a phenomenal read! The banter between Bez and Evie is chef's kiss . The cheekiness between Evie and her sister is hilarious. Evie will literally do anything for her sister to try to get her better. And Bez will do anything for Evie just to make her life easier. I literally cannot wait to see what Bez asks Evie to do as the other favours. Part one ends just as things were really starting to heat up. I need to read Part 2 ASAP!!

absolutely love this book. I love how sassy Evie and her sister are. the banter in the book never failed to make me laugh. the spice level is phenominal. Bez is super hot and so sweet, it makes me wish i had a demon boyfriend
Alisha .
This was an absolutely exceptional read!
I adore Evangeline and how much she loves and cares for her sister. That she has tried everything she can think of to cure her of her illness, so much so that she resorts to one of the last things she can try... Summoning a demon.
And boy what a demon Bez is 🥵
I think I fell a little bit in love with Bez..
Immediately, I need more and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

I received this book as an ARC, and I’m already ready for book two!
This was such a random pick for me, but I’m really glad I took the chance. The story follows an incubus who is accidentally summoned by a witch to save her sister, in a world where witches are at a serious disadvantage and are looked down on. The storyline did what it needed to do and definitely left me wanting to figure out what happens next.
I LOVED the banter..not just between the main characters, but between the side characters too. And her conversations with household appliances, her shoes, and basically anything else? 😂 I cracked up more than once.
The world-building was really good too. I loved getting to see all the different supernatural elements, although I’m still a little confused about whether the world hates all witches or specifically the Crowes. There were also moments where I felt like the book over-explained certain things, especially when it came to her relationship with Bez, while leaving some of the things I actually wanted explained up for interpretation.
And the ANGST. Whew. 😩 I was definitely ready for them to stop dancing around it and get a little more raw. Maybe book two will finally give me what I’m waiting for. 🤞🏾
As far as spice goes… for a book with Nasty in the title, I was expecting a little more heat. 😂 This was definitely more bell pepper than chili pepper (🫑vs🌶️). There wasn’t much spice, but honestly, the story itself was strong enough that it didn’t ruin the experience for me.
I’m also really curious if book two will be from Bez’s POV because I NEED to know what is going on in that man’s head. 👀
This is my first book by this author, and overall, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more from her. I may even have to check out some of her other books.
Really happy I received this ARC, and now I’m patiently (okay, impatiently) waiting for book two! 😂

This book is so good, as someone who doesnt completely love fantasy this is a great read. I love the tension build up between the main characters. The development they both have physically and emotionally. And we have to the love the funny side characters. Maeve is always a treat and I love seeing her get better. I want to know more about the shadows and the history they have with Bez.
