Sweet Delilah

at A Southern Gothic horror collection following the last sin-eater of the mountains, a man hollowed out and refilled with centuries of swallowed sin by the swamp-dwelling Sweet Delilah. Told as a confession addressed directly to the reader, it weaves body horror and folk dread into a meditation on grief, love, and the unbearable cost of carrying what no one else will.

This will be included in the Necromancer Anthology coming the end of July 2026. Keep your eyes open!

An atmospheric short story about a sin eater and a strange woman named Delilah. The prose was beautiful and grim, the images of bloating bodies nasty. Both Delilah and the protagonist were fascinating characters, as was the story surrounding them. I really liked this one.

I very much enjoyed this short story, it was very creepy, and the descriptions given in such detail sends a chill that almost makes you want to vomit.

The way it's written and how it reads is refreshing, I can hear the accent in my head.

I love anthologies, and look forward to more! Thank you so much for allowing me to read your work.
