My god.
In just 36 pages, Jim Donohue delivers a story that feels heavier than most full-length novels. The Turning follows Daniel, Katrina, and their son Logan, a family trapped in a cycle of nightmares, guilt, and something far darker than dreams. Daniel’s visions of wolves and werewolves blur the line between fear and fate until the truth claws its way into the light.

This is not just a werewolf story. It is a tragedy about family, loss, and the terrible price of love when a curse takes hold. The writing is sharp and relentless, yet full of aching humanity. Donohue does not waste a single word. Every page bleeds emotion, every sentence drips tension.

For my first experience with Jim’s work, this was brutal in the best way possible.
