This book completely sucked me in from the very first chapter and refused to let go. What starts as one last summer camping trip quickly spirals into a tense, dark, and completely addictive thriller. The setting at Ironcliff Falls was incredibly atmospheric—I could practically picture the secluded trails and campsites, and that constant feeling that something was lurking just out of sight had me on edge the entire time.
Scarlett was easy to root for, and watching her world unravel over the course of the trip was heartbreaking. Benji, on the other hand… what an unsettling villain. Every chapter from his perspective made my skin crawl, and knowing what he was planning created so much suspense. I found myself constantly saying, “Just don’t go there!” while flying through the pages.
The pacing was fantastic, with plenty of twists, escalating tension, and several moments that genuinely caught me off guard. It balanced psychological suspense with survival elements so well that I couldn’t stop reading because I needed to know how it would end.
If you love fast-paced thrillers with creepy atmosphere, high stakes, and characters that keep you emotionally invested, this one is absolutely worth picking up. It was intense, unsettling, and impossible to put down. An easy five-star read for me! 🌲🔥📖
