The Bad Friend

I am a big Caroline Kepnes fan but this one was just meh for me. It was kind of just a group of not-great people existing. Maybe that was only through Ellen's eyes and her 'friend' really isn't all that bad, but either way there was no one in this story to root for and no real major consequence for Ellen for being a 'bad friend'. I suppose maybe that was making it more 'realistic' but I read to get away and to see someone continually making bad/selfish choice just... go on felt really anticlimactic.
