The Darkness That Came Before by Jessica Huntley is the third and final book in The Darkness Series.
Wow, what a fantastic conclusion to the series! I was concerned that the story might introduce a new mystery just for the sake of it, but Jessica cleverly intertwined the timelines. The way she connected characters from the first two books to the final secret reveal was brilliant! The epilogue tied everything together perfectly, making the whole story feel complete.
Beaker Ravine, a place where the darkness has been casting a long shadow, now has another victim. This time it's different because this body has been there for at least 40 years, long before Kieron's accident. Is it possible that the darkness was lurking around long before that fateful night 25 years ago?
Detective Graham has lived in Cherry Hollow his entire life, so he was there when the accident occurred. However, no one reported the incident or the missing person. Did he know the person whose body had been hidden in Beaker Ravine cave for at least four decades?
