I listened to this without reading the first book and though I was able to follow the story I do recommend reading book 1 first. I feel I missed a lot of getting to know some of the characters.
With that being said I still enjoyed this book. I don't normally read sports romance but I couldn't pass up a full cast duet that includes Corvin King lol.
The story was easy to follow. There are some subjects brought up that may be triggering to some so please read the content/trigger warnings.
The dynamic between the MCs was fun and I enjoyed seeing them grow as a couple. The drama in it was enough to keep the story interesting. The ending was a little predictable but wrapped up nicely but leaves room for the next book.
