Michelle uses multiple views to get this crazy relentless story told. She doesn't hold back giving you a thought provoking storyline. The witty remarks add a flare to give you a laugh at just the right moments.

I absolutely loved this. Great set of characters. Storyline was a chef's kiss. A mystery to what lead to this unwanted club that had my jaw dropping and at times giggling. Pages couldn't be flipped fast enough.

Michelle Powers wrote a great book that gave Desperate Housewives vibes. 4 widows become part of a club known as The Fead Husband Club, which is given by a news reporter. None of them know each other or do they? It is a story full of multiple points of view, twists, and character build up. It can often feel repetitive as a characters line will be retold as each character is telling you what they were doing during that time of dialog.

The Dead Husband Club is one of those books that immerse you fast and keep you constantly second-guessing everything.


The story follows four women connected by the fact that their husbands all die under mysterious circumstances. From the moment the so-called “Dead Husband Club” forms in the headlines thanks to an eager reporter, the tension never lets up.


The multiple POVs and changing perspectives kept me devouring each page at record speed without adding any confusion. There’s a constant undercurrent of unease, and I loved how nothing (and no one) ever felt completely safe or trustworthy.


As the secrets kept piling up and I finally thought I had it all figured out, the story took another twist leaving me not only fully invested but having to reflect on everything once it was all over.


If you like domestic thrillers with buried secrets, lots of twists, and escalating tension, this one’s definitely worth the read.

Bingeable

This is a very brisk read with some amazing characters. Each of the women were different from each other and they all brought something unique to the plot.

One issue I took (and this is a genre convention I will note) is that some scenes were repeated only from different angles, but those different angles didn't really add much to the plot imo. Now that can be a genre convention so I'm not exactly knocking it, but it stuck out. Also I feel like there were one or two threads that weren't tied off so I hope there will be a sequel

The execution is razor‑sharp, the pacing relentless, and the final payoff is worth every breathless moment. That ending! Wow!

I was flabbergasted by how utterly fabulous this book was! The twists, the tension, the delicious characters, the terrific plot, the fantastic writing… everything combined to make this such an incredible, fantastic read! Michelle Powers does what she always does best here. She grabs you by the collar, drags you into a psychological maze, and doesn’t let go until your neck hurts from all the twists. This story is layered, relentless, and expertly paced. The kind of thriller that makes you sit there afterward staring at the wall, replaying everything you thought you understood.

Charlotte, Brooke, Lena, and Harper have nothing in common. Different lives. Different circles. Different pasts. The only thing tying them together is the fact that their husbands are dead. Once the media slaps the name The Dead Husband Club on them courtesy of the ever-persistent reporter Simone Tate, their grief turns into suspicion, scrutiny, and a dangerous race for answers.
