This series has a solid premise and an easy, fast-paced writing style that makes it bingeable, especially if you enjoy FBI procedurals with a strong female lead. Abby Kane is competent, driven, and easy to root for, and the cases themselves are interesting enough to keep the pages turning.
That said, across six books the formula starts to feel a bit repetitive. Some plots are predictable, tension doesn’t always land as hard as it could, and a few character arcs feel underdeveloped. I also wished for deeper emotional stakes and more complexity in both the villains and Abby’s personal journey.
Overall, it’s an entertaining, low-effort thriller series—great for quick reads or between heavier books—but it didn’t quite hit that “can’t stop thinking about it” level for me. Worth picking up if you’re an FBI thriller fan, just don’t expect major surprises.
