More Travelogue than Mystery
If you want an interesting travelogue though parts of South America, this will definitely fit the bill! But the mystery is fairly thin on the ground and mostly just serves an excuse for the main characters to travel around South America

Talk about a change in pace. This isn’t my usual genre. This was my first time reading and finding out about Jerold Last. As a person who loves mysteries and history this story was truly packed with it. I enjoyed Last’s descriptions allowing us readers the opportunity to visual the sites and meals mentioned within the story. I love how he included the many facts on South America, it brought the story to life just a little bit more. The characters were likeable, the plot entertaining. Overall this was a good read and since it’s part of a series I will be checking out the rest.

I really enjoyed Roger and Suzanne’s story as a couple and how they work together to solve the mystery. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star review it’s because I felt like too much information about South America was thrown at me and I was getting confused and overwhelmed. But overall it was a good story not too long and I would like to read more so I can keep up with their love story as well.
