An excellent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A brilliant and gripping psychological thriller by Cori Nevruz, it grabbed my attention from the off and held me in suspense. The huge twist in this one came towards the end, and what a twist, what a shock, there was no way I was expecting that outcome.
What was supposed to be a dream break re-uniting four brothers and their wives on a private island stating in a mansion they have rented turns into a terrifying nightmare.
As the group met up at the dock, excitedly looking forward to a week of fun and relaxation, but the unwelcome guest had other plans for them, he was the one to have the fun.
When inexplicable events start to happen, some what appear to be accidents, some personal items go missing, and some things mysteriously appear, are these occurrences brotherly pranks, and the accidents something more sinister going on?
They have feelings they are being watched, is it their imagination as they are supposed to be alone on the island.
As anxieties and tensions intensify, friction grows, and cracks start to appear between the group, with accusations and jealousy as the panic of something menacing going on within the walls of the mansion.
Is the unwelcome guest out to just spoil their party or something more terrifying?
This is an incredibly addictive and suspenseful thriller that slowly builds up to a fast-paced novel, with a totally unexpected and shocking conclusion.
I love all the books I've read by Cori Nevruz, and this is of no exception, a brilliantly written book with amazing strong characters in stunning visually descriptive settings.
From the first page, I felt this is a must-read book and the need to keep on reading to the end.

I wasn't sure about the handling of the baddie being uncovered - it felt too rushed and abrupt.
But otherwise, a good read and very bingeable!
