I was hooked from the very first chapter and couldn't stop turning the pages. A.M. Walker delivers another beautifully dark psychological thriller, filled with manipulation, obsession, and secrets that grow more dangerous with every page.

This time, the spotlight shifts to Monica, whose grief and determination to uncover the truth make her an incredibly compelling protagonist. Watching her spiral deeper into a web of lies was both fascinating and heartbreaking. She's emotional, impulsive, and driven by revenge, making her the perfect contrast to Emily Black, whose calm, calculated nature remains just as unsettling as ever. Their psychological tug-of-war is one of the book's greatest strengths.

I also loved seeing more of Volkova. She brings an air of mystery to every scene, and every interaction left me wanting to know more about her. She adds another layer of tension to an already gripping story.

What makes this series so unique is how botany isn't simply a backdrop. The poisonous plants, botanical knowledge, and creepy symbolism are woven into the story so naturally that they become characters in their own right. It creates an atmosphere that is both beautiful and deeply unsettling.

The pacing is excellent, the twists genuinely surprised me, and I never felt completely certain where the story was heading. Every revelation raised the stakes, and the ending left me desperate to see what happens next.

If you love psychological thrillers with morally complex characters, layered suspense, and a unique premise, this series deserves a place on your TBR.

Dark, intelligent, and impossible to put down. Monica, Emily, and Volkova made this an unforgettable read, and I already can't wait for the next book.
