I just finished reading Dead Girls Book Club and WOW… this one pulled me in fast and didn’t let go.
Amelia is such a relatable character in the beginning—lonely, overlooked, and desperate for connection. You really feel that emotional gap in her marriage, which makes her decisions feel believable even when you’re screaming “don’t do it!”
The tension builds slowly at first, but once the parallels between her husband’s cases and her mysterious book club start stacking up, the unease becomes impossible to ignore. I loved how the story played with trust, obsession, and that creeping feeling that something isn’t right… but you can’t quite prove it.
The twists weren’t over-the-top, but they were satisfying and unsettling in the best way. It’s more of a slow-burn psychological thriller than nonstop action, which made the payoff feel earned.
⭐ Why not 5 stars?
I wanted just a little more depth from some of the side characters and maybe one extra shock moment at the end. But overall, it was absolutely worth the read.
