The Confession: Justice in Blood
When the justice system failed James Vertolli, he didn't break—he evolved into something else entirely.
In a remote Montana sheriff's station, Vertolli delivers his confession: a methodical account of the men he hunted, the murders he committed, and the darkness he embraced when justice abandoned him. Each killing was justified. Each victim was guilty, men the law refused to touch.
A dark psychological thriller that asks: When justice dies, what rises in its place?
For readers who enjoy the dark complexity of Gillian Flynn and the unflinching horror of Stephen King.

The justice system let James Vertolli down. He then decided that he would seek his OWN justice...
He walks into a Sheriff's Station (present day) with a journal that details all the methods he used in the murders he committed - all in the name of justice.
WOW!!! What a story. Morally gray at its finest. James' character is calm, very methodical, and you can FEEL the anger simmering under the surface.
It's graphic, disturbing, and unsettling. I was here for it all! Very thought-provoking too, vigilante justice insights unease, moral tension, and, strangely, satisfaction.
John's narrative is descriptive, purposeful, and controlled. The ending shocked me! Highly recommend this book.
Thanks John, you expertly portrayed the emotional, mental, and moral compass of James. After losing everything, he literally shifted into another persona whose mission was crystal clear and concise.

The Confession is a harrowing, intense read. Although it's uncomfortable in parts, it wasn't too dark for me to enjoy and to feel (deeply) everything the protagonist went through. I loved the writing style, which was taut, emotional, and descriptive. You'll be drawn into the story fast, and it will leave a lasting impression. If you want a story that checks in with your morals, making you question how you would feel if justice is not served, then this one is for you!
