Wow! What a ride! I’ve never read a book quite like this! What a thrilling reading experience. A woman is hired for a job impersonating herself to get evidence on the client (the job). Who is the employer? We read further back to learn more about past jobs and see how devious and sinister the entire situation really is. Loved this book! Fantastic!

"First Lie Wins" is a clever and engaging mystery that keeps readers hooked from start to finish. The story centers around protagonist Charlotte, a con artist trying to leave her past behind, who is pulled back into the world of deceit when she meets a mysterious stranger with secrets of his own. Elston's writing is sharp and the plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns. While some secondary characters could be more developed, the fast-paced narrative and intriguing premise make "First Lie Wins" a thoroughly enjoyable read.
