Stars, lovers, liars, and killers—this one understood the assignment.
A.R. Torre delivers a slick, Hollywood-dark thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish.
The love triangle between Nora, Hugh, and Trent was messy in the best way. Glamorous on the surface, toxic underneath. Once the bodies turn up, the story spirals into secrets on secrets, and I loved how nothing (and no one) felt fully trustworthy. The LA setting, the twins, the fame, the illusion of perfection—it all worked so well together.
The investigation unfolds like a cat-and-mouse game, and just when you think you’ve figured it out… nope. Another layer. Another lie. The pacing stayed strong, and the twists were smart without being ridiculous.
Not a full 5 for me, but absolutely a solid, entertaining thriller.
If you like Hollywood scandals, morally gray characters, and slow-burn suspense with sharp twists—add this to your TBR.
