Chasing Home The Owens (Plain Daisy Ranch Book 6)

It was straight out of a rom-com-until two pink lines changed everything.

Zander Shaw is country music's hottest star. So, when he singled me out of a packed arena and had me pulled backstage, I should've known I wasn't his forever. One signed NDA later, I was sneaking onto his tour bus, wrapped up in his world, and him. But it ended before it really started when he ghosted me.

Then he shows up on my family's ranch to film his new music video, a surprise to us both. Now I'm his appointed tour guide around the ranch, stuck sharing all my favorite places with the man who carelessly discarded me.

The more time we spend together, the harder it is to guard my heart because his flirty half-smile makes me forget my anger. But Zander's made it clear, he's not looking to ride out into the sunset with anyone.

Which would be fine... if I wasn't carrying his baby.

From the very first page, Chasing Forever completely pulled me in and didn’t let go until the end. Piper Rayne has such a talent for creating characters you can’t help but love and root for, and Brooks and his reluctant bride are no exception.

The “drunk Vegas wedding” leading into a “four dates before annulment” arrangement was the perfect setup for one of my favorite tropes—fake marriage/fake dating. The tension, banter, and undeniable chemistry between the characters made this story both heartfelt and addictive. I loved watching their relationship evolve from guarded walls to genuine connection, all while set against the charm of small-town life that Piper writes so well.

What I appreciated most was how real and relatable the characters felt. Piper has a way of writing that makes you feel like you’re living right there in the story, and that immersive quality is what makes her books so enjoyable.

Chasing Forever was an absolute delight to read—fun, emotional, and swoon-worthy in all the best ways. I devoured it and already can’t wait to pick up more from Piper Rayne.
