Put this nostalgic slasher at the top of your must read on October 30th (the day it releases). James Kaine brings you a novella packed with gore, psychos, and a sweet unknowing family.
You get just enough introduction to the characters that will either have you cheering them on to the end or maybe their end 😜. No one is safe from the psychotic beings. James brings the heat with horrifying, gruesome, and descriptive unalivings. All while setting the stage of this intense battle during a horrible storm.
I love gore. The more brutal and grotesque the better. (Maybe I have a deeply twisted mind 😉.) This story served me well with just that. It took me back to the days of renting a scary horror movie on VHS. Curling up in the dark waiting for the slaughter to begin. So grab your popcorn, your favorite drink, turn the lights down low, and enjoy this terrifying treat.

Summary:
On October 30, 1979. breakout occurs at Pine Hill Mental Hospital from which most disturbing persons escape from. Three individuals form an unholy alliance and behind them they leave traces of mutilated bodies.
Meanwhile, Susan escapes her abusive husband with their son to her brothers farm to seek refuge, but her husband is not happy with her decision.
Her relief is short lived when maniac alliance meet her family.

Mischief Night was such a wild, short and fun retro slasher horror, and had so much fun reading it. Perfect for the halloween season and especially perfect for the fans of halloween movies.

Dark, vivid, and utterly unforgettable.
Mischief Night was an excellent read! The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, and the descriptive language really painted a vivid picture I could visualize. The story flowed seamlessly, drawing me deeper into its dark atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the grotesque imagery that added a chilling element to the narrative. Overall, it was an atmospheric masterpiece that pulls you into the dark.
