The Game Night
Ten years ago, at their senior year party- a night that was supposed to be one of the best of their lives- something horrible happened. Five friends promised to keep a secret no matter what, and to cut ties immediately- never to talk again. But now, one of them has suddenly organized a reunion- and they're all having second thoughts. Maybe keeping their secret was a bad idea, because now they're all paying for it in one way or another.
Their little reunion party is awkward at best, and deadly at worst. Because someone thinks they should be paying the ultimate price, and now none of them may get out alive. Are you ready to play a game?

The story is cleverly told through alternating timelines, blending past and present in a way that builds both tension and emotional depth. The chapters written in past tense helped lay the foundation for each character’s backstory, while the present-day chapters showed how those events shaped their personalities, relationships, and choices. It flowed seamlessly and kept me fully engaged.
As the story unfolds, the twists start creeping in—layer by layer—raising the stakes and deepening the central mystery: Who will win Game Night?
A suspenseful, character-driven read with plenty of surprises!

This was a good book. It did lean a little more toward the predictable side but what saved it was the ending. I thought I figured it out, but I didn't!! I can definitely appreciate that kind of twist and Sara didn't disappoint! Another reviewer noted that the ending felt rushed and I have to agree with that but overall this was a good read and I would definitely recommend it to others!!
I'm honored to have received an ARC copy of this book, thank you Sara Lea!

I read this fast-paced thriller in 2 days because once I started it, I just had to find out what was going to happen with these characters. The short chapters, the multiple varied characters, and the twists at every turn kept me enthralled throughout. The author switches back and forth between past and present to give us more detail about what happened in the past at the senior party and the roles each character played which allows the reader to see the depth of each character. The story is unpredictable and fun and despite my theories, I was completely blown away! This was such a fun thriller from a completely new author to me and I highly recommend it! 5 stars. I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
