I think it would have benefitted from some slashing. Some of the stuff that happened was wholly unnecessary and bogged things down, especially the side plot with Carl and Angie. It was wholly unnecessary.
Also found Jacinda repetitive, some stuff felt out of nowhere, pacing was weird in spots and why on earth did Nick bother chasing Jac at the end? There was no point from his perspective.
Would have been a lot better to just keep things from the angle of Villain v Jac. Those parts were the best and way more intense.
Also who did Brodie sr. Sleep with that kicked off that whole disaster? That never got answered but we have a whole thing with Angie that went nowhere? Meh.
All in all had the same issues a lot of thrillers have: So many twists that it ends up a tangled knot that is very unsatisfactory.
