Clara Strong finally lands her dream job in the FBI’s BAU and she ends up right in the middle of one of the biggest cases to hit the department in some time. A sadistic serial killer is targeting couples in the area and each attack is more brutal, more visceral than the last. It feels like the killer has something against couples in love. Clara will have to use all her skills to untangle the web of intrigue surrounding the case. Can she do it?

On top of focusing on finding the killer, Clara also continues her quest to find out what happened to her brother, Grayson. How can she crack the case and still manage to try to find her brother? If you know Clara like we do, you know she can handle both of these and still never break a sweat.

Welz has a way with words and the way she sets the scenes pulls you right into the middle of the action. We get to ride along with the FBI. We get a glimpse into the thoughts of some of the characters. Every detail is precise and serves its purpose to build up the whole picture. I found myself racing with Clara and trying to solve the case before her. Spoiler: I was so very wrong.

If you like a gripping, lively plot with enough twists to send you to a chiropractor, then this is the book for you!

9 talented authors who wrote 9 short stories that will leave you astonished.

The stories hit the mark on what you want in a thriller: jaw dropping, twisty, keeps you guessing, and staying up past your bedtime.

Each author has brought their A-game through the unquie styles, words, descriptions, and storylines. You'll find yourself lost in the pages completely devoted to each one.

Some of these authors I have read before and absolutely love. I was introduced to others who I look forward to reading more of their books. I was blown away by how they were able to write an impactful story in so few words.

A heart pounding anthology of 9 different independent authors who each brilliantly debut their own short story. Each thrilling story was fabulous, well written and thrilling and left me wanting to read more from these authors. I was only familiar with a few of them before but now I will be following all of them! Each story had a completely different premise but the thrill was there and they all ended way too soon! I loved every one of them! Pick up your copy today before volume 2 comes out!

Killer Thrillers, what a wild ride! This collection of nine fantastic authors had me glued to the pages way past my bedtime. I was totally spooked. I checked under the bed (more than once). These brilliant minds gave me the perfect escape from reality, although my poor heart could’ve used a warning! I’m sure it wasn’t supposed to be that fast.

Have you ever sat with a very long book and long chapters and thought "I feel so bored. It is just the same thing for another 500 pages." Yes, me too. Often. I had no idea that anthologies could be the answer to my conundrum (look it up, it's a word). Every story in here has a different voice and a different feel. The best part is the authors have used local spelling and expressions that give each section a life of its own. It feels a bit like when you gather around a campfire and see who can tell the best story (spoiler - they're all amazing in here).

This book has it all. Each story will have you on the edge of your seat and you'll wonder at times if the authors are ok (I've messaged a few to check). Whether you like a nice story about a work retreat where you can learn to lead like a pro, a lovely night out in a quiet town where you can meet an exciting new friend, a fantastic trip with your new spouse to Venice, a trip down memory lane to visit with an old pastor and his wife, a weekend away with friends, or even just a quiet snow day to visit with your neighbors, this book has it all and then some. Doesn't that all sound nice? There's even more than that in this book. All 13 authors have done a tremendous job and I don't want to spoil it!

I will be sending each author a bill for my therapy sessions.

The writing is fresh. The style is clean and perfect. Do yourself a favor and grab it as soon as you can on June 3! Murray will be waiting.

A complete mix of short stories, some suspenseful, and some quite dark and graphic. There are twists throughout, and I love that we find out more about each author at the end of their stories.

This anthology gives a wonderful insight into a range of authors and makes me want to read more from them all. The standout story for me was Wrong Man by Molly Garcia, but I enjoyed every single one. A fantastic collection!

What a fantastic and thrilling anthology. This volume is packed full of amazing authors each with their own twisted mind blowing story. So much happens in each of these stories it will have you turning the pages so fast and you'll keep saying "just one more chapter" or "just one more author" before you know it you've completed this book within hours. All the voices in this anthology are so unique and so captivating it will land each one on your TBR list looking for their other work. I feel lucky and honored to have been an ARC for these beautiful individuals. Jump on this one, you'll be so glad you did.

Get ready for a pulse-pounding trip into darkness with Killer Thrillers Volume One. This anthology gathers nine chilling stories from nine talented authors. You will meet cunning killers and face eerie mysteries that keep you turning pages long after bedtime. Each tale delivers suspense, danger, and shocking twists that will leave you craving more. Once you step into this world, there’s no turning back.

I inhaled this anthology, and I am still thinking about it. The pace never wavers, and every story packs its own brand of shock. I loved that some authors are just starting out, yet their tales feel like they’ve written thrillers for years. It all felt fresh and unputdownable.

Blood Waters of Venice by Welz Bailey
Synopsis: Christian finally made his dream come true, running his own business in the romantic streets of Venice. But when his wife disappears during a simple breakfast run, the city quickly turns from enchanting to sinister. As he retraces her path through twisted alleyways and misty canals, he uncovers a darkness that was hiding in plain sight.
My Thoughts: Trust? In a Welz Bailey story? Not a chance. Everyone's a suspect, and I was suspicious of everyone, including myself. Venice has never felt so chilling.

The Empty Library by Marie Cashel
Synopsis: Lily is beyond excited to attend her first-ever book retreat and finally meet her favorite author in real life. But the cozy getaway takes a creepy turn as items go missing, strange noises echo through the night, and a hidden library reveals the retreat house’s chilling past. What began as a bookish dream becomes a race to escape a literary nightmare.
My Thoughts: Note to self: If my book club ever suggests a remote retreat, I’m suddenly very, very busy. Creepy, clever, and oh-so-meta for us book lovers.

Foster by Danielle Fear
Synopsis: Jayden and Callum are two brothers desperate for stability in yet another foster home. Callum hopes for a fresh start, but Jayden’s need to protect takes a dark turn as his fixation on their new foster mother intensifies. In a house meant to heal, obsession and paranoia threaten to tear them and everyone else apart.
My Thoughts: Excuse me, WHAT just happened?! I had theories, I had confidence, and then it smacked me with a twist I didn’t see coming. 10 out of 10 for chaos.

Wrong Man by Molly Garcia
Synopsis: With overwhelming evidence and a neat little confession, the police are certain they’ve got their killer. Case closed. But behind the scenes, the real threat is smiling quietly—and no one suspects a thing.
My Thoughts: SHOCK SHOCK SHOCK! Plot twist city. I thought I had the map, and this story flipped it upside down. I love being duped by a clever short.

Obedience by Rachel Graham
Synopsis: Michael is thrilled to be accepted into an elite leadership program—until he realizes it’s less about leadership and more about control. With the director demanding submission over independence, Michael must choose: play the game or lose everything. But how far will he go to belong?
My Thoughts: This one gave major Black Mirror vibes in the best way. It’s smart, original, and eerie in that “this could actually happen” kind of way.

Deadly News by Amanda Josephine
Synopsis: In sleepy Dogwood Falls, news anchor Bridget Benton is the voice the town trusts, until someone makes her the target of a chilling message. As a string of murders rattles the town, local sleuth Dawn and her crime-loving partner Jeremy dig into clues the police dismiss. The closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes.
My Thoughts: I saw myself in Dawn immediately. Give me a podcast, some coffee, and a suspicious murder, and I’m on the case. Loved the vibe and the character connections.

The Eldridge Library by Jeff Scott
Synopsis: People are vanishing in Eldridge, Maine, one by one, without a trace. Detective Jake Hargrove joins forces with Victoria, the local librarian, and together they follow a trail of mysterious clues that all seem to point to one place: the town library. But in a town full of secrets, the truth may be more dangerous than the disappearances.
My Thoughts: This was just a taste, and now I’m starving. It’s a prequel to Jeff Scott’s upcoming novel and totally delivered on suspense and intrigue. I need the full story yesterday.

The Cabin in the Woods by Keeley Webb
Synopsis: Rocky Valley is a quiet, off-the-grid town that seems perfect for couples looking to unplug and reconnect. But someone is watching from the shadows, and he’s not looking for love. When guests venture into a secluded cabin, they unknowingly become players in a twisted game where the rules are deadly and escape is optional.
My Thoughts: The killer’s POV? Yes, please. Dark, disturbing, and exactly my flavor of creepy. This one left me with goosebumps. I see you, Keeley, and I'm immediately getting all of your books!

The Scent of Lilies by Billie Jean Wiley
Synopsis: Seven-year-old Sheila Grayson lives a seemingly peaceful life in the mountains with her deeply religious parents. But the sweet scent of lilies begins to mask something rotten beneath the surface. As the darkness creeps in, Sheila must navigate a world where love and faith twist into something far more sinister.
My Thoughts: Wait, this was a debut?! I said I wasn’t going to tell you, but I had to on this one. I’m shocked. The writing felt cinematic, like I was living in every scene. It packed the punch of a full-length novel in just a few pages. Absolutely stunning.

Overall, this collection proves that anthologies can punch far above their weight. They deliver variety yet feel cohesive. If you crave twisted plots and nonstop suspense, this one will be your next obsession.

Keeley Webb
Keeley Webb is a British suspense writer. Worcestershire is her current home, where she lives with her husband, two kids, and their energetic Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Lilly. As a child, Keeley loved reading and often had her nose in a book.
She has an interest in true crime and binge watches documentaries on serial killers. Karin Slaughter’s books inspired her to tackle a darker genre after the success of her first book Death Made Me, which falls under supernatural suspense. Her second book, Whispers in the Wine Cellar is a dark, graphic psychological thriller.
Keeley intends to keep writing within this genre and is working on her next psychological thriller. She doesn’t believe in using trigger warnings because it’s impossible to know what will affect each reader, her current and future works will not be for the faint of heart, but as an animal lover she would like to reassure you that the dog will never get it!
