⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Fallen Girls was such a gripping start to what I hope becomes a long-running series. The mystery pulled me in right away, and I found myself constantly trying to piece together what happened to Delilah and the other missing girls.

I really liked Clara as the main character. She isn’t just investigating a case—she’s forced to confront the trauma and secrets she left behind years ago. That personal connection gave the story a lot more emotional weight and made me even more invested in finding out the truth.

The setting was one of my favorite parts. The isolated town, the cornfields, and the complicated family dynamics created an eerie atmosphere that kept the tension high from beginning to end. There were plenty of twists along the way, and while I guessed a couple of them, there were still surprises that caught me off guard.

The reason this lands at 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were a few moments where the pacing slowed, and I wanted a little more depth from some of the supporting characters. Even so, it never lost my interest, and I always wanted to know what would happen next.

If you enjoy suspenseful detective thrillers with dark family secrets, creepy small-town vibes, and a mystery that keeps you guessing, I’d definitely recommend picking this one up. I’m looking forward to seeing where Clara’s story goes next.
